    TD Snap: iPadOS Subscription FAQs

    Product Features
    • What is included in the free version of the TD Snap app for iPadOS?
    The TD Snap app for iPadOS includes editing features that are free to all users. It can be used for editing, sharing, and syncing. Speech output, Gateway, PODD, and Metacom can be enabled via separate monthly subscriptions.
     
    • Can I use the TD Snap app for iPadOS for speech output?
    Yes, speech output is an optional feature available with a 1-month subscription. It includes support for native iOS voices, Acapela, Personal Voice, and my-own-voice. It can be used with or without 3rd Party A La Carte Content subscriptions.
     
    • Can I use the TD Snap app for iPadOS to edit the PODD page set?
    Yes, the ability to use and edit the PODD page set is an optional feature available with a 1-month subscription. If subscribed without speech output, it can be used for editing/creating content but will not have sound.
     
    • Can I use the TD Snap app for iPadOS to edit the Gateway page set?
    Yes, the ability to use and edit the Gateway page set is an optional feature available with a 1-month subscription. If subscribed without speech output, it can be used for editing/creating content but will not have sound.
     
    • Can I use METACOM symbols in the TD Snap app for iPadOS?
    Yes, the ability to use METACOM symbols in supported page sets and for content editing/creation is an optional feature available with a 1-month subscription. If subscribed without speech output, it can be used for editing/creating content but will not have sound.

    Trials
    • Is each subscription offering available as a separate trial?
    Yes – Speech, PODD, Gateway and Metacom are all available as separate trials on the App Store. myTobiiDynavox also offers trials for Speech, PODD and Gateway.
     
    • What is the duration of the trial period for TD Snap app for iPadOS through the App Store?
    The trial duration for TD Snap app for iPadOS through the App Store is 30 days. Trials are available for speech, PODD, Gateway, and Metacom. The trial is managed by the App Store and automatically converts to a subscription if not cancelled by the end of the trial period.
     
    • What is the duration of the trial period for TD Snap app for iPadOS through myTobiiDynavox.com?
    The trial duration for TD Snap app for iPadOS through myTobiiDynavox.com is 60 days. Trials are available for speech, PODD, and Gateway. The trial is initiated on myTobiiDynavox.com and functionality is disabled at the end of the trial period unless a subscription or other purchase is initiated.
    • Can someone do a trial through the App Store and then do a second trial through myTD?
    Yes – iOS customers can do a trial on both the App Store and myTD.
     
    • Can someone do a speech trial first and then do a content trial later?
    Yes – Trials on the App Store and myTobiiDynavox can be done concurrently OR at separate times. But, the software will not speak during a content trial unless speech is also trial/purchased/enabled.

    Purchasing & Order Management
    • How can I buy a subscription for TD Snap app for iPadOS?
    TD Snap app for iPadOS is available through the public App Store. Customers can download the free version of the app at any time and start a trial/subscription directly through the app. Trials and subscriptions are managed directly by Apple via the App Store.
     
    • How are payments for TD Snap app for iPadOS subscriptions processed?
    All payments are processed through and managed by the Apple App Store. Payments are charged to the payment method associated with the Apple ID.
     
    • How are taxes or VAT charged for TD Snap app for iPadOS subscriptions?
    Taxes or VAT are charged on all purchases, including monthly subscription renewals, where applicable based on local tax laws. The amount of VAT or taxes charged is determined by Apple and based on local tax laws.
     
    • How does subscription renewal work for TD Snap app for iPadOS?
    Subscription renewal is automatic. Payment is charged 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. Subscription renewals are processed by Apple on the same day as the calendar date that the respective subscription was started.
     
    • How can I cancel my TD Snap app for iPadOS subscription?
    All cancellations must go through the App Store. Subscriptions can be managed/cancelled in the account settings on the App Store. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically turn off the current subscription – it cancels the renewal.
     
    • How can I request a refund for my TD Snap app for iPadOS subscription?
    All refund requests for subscriptions purchased through the App Store must go through Apple. You can sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com, choose “Request a refund,” select the reason why you want a refund, and submit your request.
     
    • What is the grace period for TD Snap app for iPadOS subscriptions?
    The grace period is 28 days. If payment is not received within this period, Apple will cancel the subscription at the end of the grace period and subscribed functionality will be disabled.
     

    Apple Family Share 

    • Is Apple Family Share supported? 

    Yes, Apple Family Sharing is supported. Customers who are part of a Family Share plan can share their subscription with other iPads that are also part of that same family plan. 

    • How many devices can use the app with Apple Family Share? 

    ​​​Apple Family Share allows for a purchase made through an iPad that is associated with a family share account to be used on up to 5 additional devices (6 total devices). 


    Tokens 

    • Does this version of the app provide any additional companion tokens? 

    No, this version of the app does not provide any additional companion tokens. 

    • Does this version of the app support speaking and content permission tokens? 

    Yes, this version of the app is compatible with companion (TD Device) and complimentary (TD for Professionals) tokens. Tokens can be used to enable speech and/or content. Tokens can be claimed by logging into the app with the myTobiiDynavox account that is associated with the token(s).
