How can I use TD Talk with Zoom on my TD Pilot?
Although TD Talk only runs in full screen on TD Pilot, using Zoom and viewing the Zoom participants is still possible. Please follow the steps below to use TD Talk with Zoom.
- Before starting, you must make sure you do not have pass-through enabled in TD Talk. If you do, make sure to disableit first.
- In the Zoom app, join the Zoom meeting or start your Zoom meeting.
- Tap the screen (with AssistiveTouch).
- Use the AssistiveTouch menu to access the App Switcher or Home.
- Switch to TD Talk. **
- When you open TD Talk, you may see the Zoom meeting in the upper right corner or you might just see an arrow up there. If you see an arrow, use AssistiveTouch to select the arrow to bring the mini Zoom window into view. (Reminder: To access AssistiveTouch in TD Talk, choose the AssistiveTouch button from the pop-up menu.
- Now you can communicate during your Zoom meeting. If you need to access Zoom controls you will still need to switch back to Zoom. If you plan to mute and unmute frequently, you may need to leave yourself unmuted. Perhaps Zoom will allow users to mute/unmute from the small window in the future.
** There is a current bug with AssistiveTouch where it may leave behind the trace circle after switching to TD Talk. If the circle is in the way or distracting, you can use AssistiveTouch to switch out of TD Talk and then go back in again. You may need to do this a few times. This issue has been reported to Apple.
