Information to customers

We are sorry to inform that a possible unauthorized access to some customers’ personal data gained from a Tobii Dynavox email account was identified on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Due to a phishing attack limited to one email account at Tobii Dynavox, personal and health-related data linked to customers were accessible for a limited time. We were promptly notified by our security system and immediately secured the account. The incident was caused by a human error.

How might I be affected?

According to our analysis, personal data was exposed during this phishing attack. Data that could be linked to identifying individuals and/or health information was accessible in email correspondence or in attached forms.

What actions do we take?

Tobii Dynavox has reported the incident to the proper authorities and is following their defined instructions and procedures. We will continue to monitor the situation. At Tobii Dynavox, we respect data privacy and apply appropriate security standards through internal security awareness trainings and extensive security measures required by the authorities.

To prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future, Tobii Dynavox has verified sensitivity in security settings related to email and identities. Additionally, we have enhanced internal security awareness communications, with a specific focus on phishing.

To protect from the possibility of identity theft, you may want to place a fraud alert on your credit files. A fraud alert conveys to anyone requesting your credit report that you may be exposed to potential fraud.
