How can I make Windows 8 to start into Desktop app directly?

If you want your Windows 8 computer or tablet PC to boot directly into the Windows Desktop app instead of modern UI, please follow the steps below. On Tobii M-Series devices, we enabled the Desktop app for you already.

Open Windows Desktop App
Right click on Desktop taskbar
Select Properties
Select Navigation
Tick the box for When I sign in or close all apps on a screen, go to desktop instead of Start

Next time you reboot, Windows will start with the Desktop app.

The settings as described above are for Windows 8.1. If you are still running on Windows 8, you might need to update to 8.1 first before doing these changes.
